Sri Lanka to export rice to Poland

Dec 09, Colombo: Sri Lanka will export 'Sudu Kekulu Samba', a type of unboiled rice, to Poland for the first time in history.

Sources at the Ministry of Agrarian Services said an agreement would be signed with Poland to export rice starting from January next year.

Ministry sources said that 100 tonnes per month will be shipped to Poland in the first phase.
