Poland To Extend Mission To Iraq

Poland will likely extend its mission to Iraq after Polish Defense Minister Radoslaw Sikorski inked a motion for prolonging their stay in the region.

The motion now moves to the Council of Ministers before passing to President Lech Kaczynski for approval.

Sikorski, however, would not confirm if the Polish troops' tour of duty would be extended to six months or one year.

Poland has some 900 soldiers in Iraq who mainly train Iraqi soldiers.
