Greenhouse cucumber is fourfold cheaper in Ukraine than in Poland

A historically low wholesale price level has been recorded recently for long greenhouse cucumber supplied to Ukraine from Turkey; the product cost $0.64-0.68/kg. This price is almost fourfold lower than the price for long greenhouse cucumber in the neighboring Poland which is gradually switching to imported greenhouse produce as well.

At the same time, short greenhouse cucumber is sold nearly three times more expensive than long cucumber on the wholesale markets of Ukraine. If we compare Ukrainian prices to Polish prices, the difference will be 47%. It means that the wholesale price for greenhouse cucumber is twice as high in Poland comparing to Ukraine.
