Poland sets debut 30-yr bond offer at 1 bln zlotys - ministry

Poland on Wednesday will offer 1 bln zlotys of 30-year bonds in its first ever tender for the note maturing in 2037, Warsaw's finance ministry said in a statement.

The bonds are aimed chiefly at insurance companies and other long-term investors, and dealers said the offer should have little impact on prices of the country's benchmark 2-, 5- and 10-year bonds.

The paper comes with a 5 pct annual coupon and matures in April 2037.

In line with normal procedure, the ministry had set a preliminary offer range of 0.5-1.0 bln zlotys for the tender at the start of this month.
