DATA SNAP: Poland March CPI +2.5% On Yr, Above Expectations

WARSAW (Dow Jones)--Poland's annual inflation rate rose sharply to 2.5% in March, from 1.9% in February, according to figures released Friday by the Central Statistical Office, or GUS.
The headline consumer price index exceeded analysts' average forecast of 2.4% annual inflation.
Month-on-month, March consumer prices increased 0.5%, compared with February's 0.3% rise, GUS said. The figures are preliminary.
