Kazakh president promises to continue energy dialogue with Poland

Kazakhstan will continue talks with Poland on energy cooperation, Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev said.
"We are aware of Poland's interest in energy cooperation between our two countries and we will continue this joint work," he said after the Polish ambassador to Kazakhstan, Pawel Cieplak, presented his credentials at a ceremony in Astana on Tuesday.

"Kazakh-Polish relations today are marked by intensity, meaningful contacts in expanding parliamentary and ministerial ties, deepening economic and humanitarian cooperation," Nazarbayev added.
He said that the presence of a large Polish community in Kazakhstan promotes the formation of a special atmosphere in bilateral relations.

Last year trade turnover between the two countries amounted to USD 507.8 mln, with Kazakh exports to Poland at USD 204.4 mln and imports from Poland at over USD 303 mln. Kazakhstan has registered 90 companies in which Polish capital is participating.
